John and Pat have maintained a lush and beautiful yard for many years. Starting off the season, as most of us are still fighting weeds, and trying to get our yards in shape, John has been out many afternoons working hard, getting their yard nice and green and already weed free. Pat likes to fill planters with pretty flowers and helps keep bushes pretty and trimmed and looking nice. On a side note: A big thank you to Pat for being instrumental in helping get The Yard of the Month Committee started way back in 2016. And thank you both for helping to keep our Pinion Park neighborhood looking great.

Kayla has been living in our lovely neighborhood for many years. And her mom Geneva pops in and out visiting, and decited on one of those visits that Kayla needed some Halloween and holiday cheer, inside and out. So she set about bringing out a lot of decorations. Starting outside with some scary little ghost, one swinging from a large tree in the yard with pretty fall leaves. And more frightening flying ghosts made their home along the lush trimmed bushes all in front of the house, close by was a large black bat, and huge white spider web, with some creepy crawling furry spiders. In front of the same bushes were some glowing large orange pumpkins with pretty images on each of them. In a front tree ring she also had a rather large unique old timey carousel with all kind of animals and bats, with colorful pumpkins on top, which lights up and plays music. Which I am sure will lure the kids as they continue on past some lit up goblins to the door, that looks so inviting with a special creepy witchy singing pumpkin hanging on it. It’s all fun and delightful decor, to entertain all the neighbors and any guests for the Halloween season. A huge thank you to Kayla, and especially her mom Geneva. Ya’ll made our neighborhood really stand out in a cute way. And will leave the kids and adults coming back for more.

Pinion Park "Yard of the Month" - December 2023
Pinion Park Owners Association Board and the Yard of the Month Committee are happy to announce winner for December 2024.
Michael and Renee have created a beautiful yard of magic from Santa, Christmas trees, cactus with lights, snowman and nutcracker, even the Grinch . Fantastic scene lit up by bright lights that show off each elaborate display. In talking with Michael, he built each and every piece either by metal or wood, some even with pvc. Him and Renee discuss the plan and he adds a piece every year. The beautiful giant deer he said was a definite labor of love. At night the whole yard looks like a winter wonderland that could be on a post card. Each time you see it, you notice something you didn't see before. A big thank you to Michael and Renee for all the hard Work and sharing during holiday. A huge thanks to all our neighbors that have created our own wonderland.
